Location And Boundary Of The Park
The Bale Mountains National Park is located 400 km southeast of Addis Ababa in the Oromia National Regional State in south-eastern Ethiopia. It is part of the Bale-Arsi massif in the south-eastern Ethiopian highlands. The park is approximately 2,200 km2 stretching 74 km from north to south and 53 km from east to west. The boundary lies within the Bale and West Arsi zones and overlaps with five woredas (local districts): Adaba (west), Dinsho (north), Goba (northeast), Mena-Angetu (south-east) and Harenna Buluk (south-west).
